Occupational Therapist / Occupational Therapist Assistant Job Description


OT practitioners complete Occupational Therapy evaluations (OTR), Occupational Therapist Assistant supervision/mentoring requirements (OTR), documentation, manage caseloads, plan service delivery, and other administrative duties in a timely, professional, and thorough manner according to organization and legal requirements.

Provide Occupational Therapy interventions under the guidance of the supervising therapist

Additional responsibilities as requested to care for youth with developmental delay and at-risk populations.


Basic Qualifications:


  • An Associate’s (therapist assistant), bachelor’s/master’s degree in Occupational Therapy
  • At least two years' experience with children age 5-21 in home, school, or community settings.
  • Certified and licensed in the state where services will be delivered
  • Excellent and effective oral, written, and presentation skills to communicate with diverse stakeholders
  • Experience in holistic case management approaches
  • Strengths-based approaches to assessment and intervention strategies
  • Experience with / knowledge of culturally responsive intervention
  • Experience with psych OT a plus.
  • Commitment to pediatric Occupational Therapy preferred.
  • Proficiency in English, working with computers including word processing, data entry, electronic records, and e-mail management are required.
  • Bilingual a plus
